Hydrated lime of calcium hydroxide is a dry, colorless crystalline powder. It is manufactured in a process of Slaking where calcium oxide or quicklime is treated with water. It is also known as slack lime, pickling lime, hydrated lime or builders lime. It is used in the production of mortars, plasters, cements, paints, hard rubber products, petrochemicals, in tanning of leather, as food preservative, water softening, pH adjustment, coagulation & removal of impurities and acidic gases removal
