Precipitated Calcium Carbonate(PCC)

Precipitated Calcium carbonate (PCC) is a fine processed product derived from conventional lime. It is purer than limestone and has less silica and lead. It is made by hydrating high-calcium quicklime and then reacting the resulting slurry, or “milk-of-lime”, with carbon dioxide. It is available shapes which allow it to act as a functional additive is sealants, rubber, ink, paper, pharmaceuticals, nutritional supplements, dentistry & toothpaste and other applications. It provides better performance in end use. It has high surface areas, high oil absorptions, with different powder bulk densities.
