Talcum
Talc or talcum is a clay mineral which is composed of hydrated magnesium silicate. It is often combined with corn starch and is used as baby powder. This mineral is also used as a thickening agent and lubricant. It is an important ingredient in paint, ceramics, roofing material and food preparation. It is also a main ingredient in many cosmetics. It is very poorly soluble in water.
